Executive Director’s Corner: Embracing Change and Planning for 2025

Hello,

Thank you to all who sponsored and participated in our Audio Trekker Hike. We now move into fall, my favorite time of year and goes so quickly. It is a season of beauty and change. At Aftersight it is a season of planning for the coming year. This includes programming, outreach, and of course budgets.
The Executive team completed RevJen’s Fuel Series and developed a new revenue model for the organization that has a better balance between grants and other funding sources. This will strengthen the organization moving forward. We have had to let one staff member go as a result of the loss of Older American Act funding earlier in the year. Matt Kissane, whose position was most closely tied to this funding, is no longer at Aftersight. We miss him and I’m sure many of you will as well. If you need assistance setting up listener equipment or have outreach related items, please contact Michael Sisneros at extension 4107 or michael@aftersight.org.

We appreciate our listeners, volunteers, and donors joining us in our work to provide information equity. While you don’t attend staff meetings, you are part of the Aftersight team. I invite you to contact me to share ideas or ask questions, even meet for coffee, as we plan for 2025. kim@aftersight.org or 303-786-7777, extension 4112

Thank you,

Kim
